Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Steven Kahan and I currently serve as President of the Beth-El Brotherhood.
The temple Brotherhood is here to serve the needs of the men of the congregation and their family members. In the Shofar, in the Brotherhood calendar and in previous membership letters previous presidents have touted the many programs and services we provide to the Beth-El community.
My objective today is
to ask you to help your Brotherhood provide those programs to temple members
of all ages. This goal can be easily accomplished if each and every man who
belongs to Temple Beth-El also becomes a member of Brotherhood.
Basic membership is $36.00. It does not obligate you to attend meetings or
become involved in any activities, though I hope you consider doing so. Simply,
your basic membership contribution provides the financial support needed to
continue the many programs we run and the additional programs we would like
to be able to afford. Please help by becoming one of us!
Please send your check, made out to Brotherhood of Temple Beth-El, to Brotherhood, 70 Orchard Ave, Providence 02906. Checks can also be dropped off at the Temple office.
On behalf of all of the people of our congregation, young and old, who benefit from Brotherhood-sponsored programs, thank you!
Sincerely,
Steve Kahan
PS - My hope is you will share your ideas with me for programs that you might want to see. You can send an email to bethelbrotherhoodri@gmail.com or call me directly at (401) 440-1931 if you have questions, suggestions or would like to become actively involved.
